A scanner indication is not clearance to drill
Do not drill where electrical, plumbing, gas, structural, or uncertain signals may be present. Stop when passes disagree or the wall construction is unknown.
Reference setup
Keep the start point, measurement direction, wall surface, and device mode consistent.

Alternate direction. Measure all positions from the same marked zero point.
